software problems
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I purchased this camera to use as a carry around and lend to a friend as needed. That was a mistake. The Kodak software is not that great and it does not work well with Picasa or other programs. There are apparently fixes which I have not gotten to work yet, but who wants to spend the time doing that rather than working on the photos and enjoying them.
Good Camera

No disappointments if you use Kodak software. we share all photos easily online. Nothing fancy and easy to use!
No Card, No instructions booklet, very very low internal memory
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
No Card, No instructions booklet, very very low internal memory. I bought it, took it to an even, and could not use it. Seller did not offer a card to me. Even my cheapie HP and Take-It digital cameras came with cards.
I returned the item.
Good Camera

I’ve had this camera for about a month and so far I really like it. It’s nice, simple to use, and takes good pictures, which is the most important thing. I only wish the camera was a little thinner and had a bigger screen, but you can’t beat the price.

the picture quality is poor sometimes. Some pictures turn out great and then some have been very poor. I wouldn’t recommend this camera, spend a little more and get a better quality camera.
Terrible Picture Quality!!
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
This camera takes terrible pictures!!! I purchased it because I make the school’s yearbook, and it’s useless! If I use the “auto” setting to get enough light in the pictures, the people are grainy or blurry. If I use the “action” setting to reduce the blur, then the pictures are underexposed. In some situations, these amorphous white dots of light just appear in the pictures.
I have tried every setting available and nothing helps. I have missed so many cute shots that would have been wonderful and cannot be reproduced this year.
Having bought a Kodak Easyshare C model years ago, which took AMAZING pictures and just flat wore out, I thought this one would do the same…big mistake. Do NOT buy this camera!
Poor quality photos
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
This camera takes poor quality photos. Yes, it’s slim and lightweight. Yes, the shutter speed is snappy. But the photos are of such poor quality that it’s a pretty useless camera.
I bought this camera at Best Buy for $100 because my Olympus SP-320 is starting to act up (sometimes it won’t turn on). During the first two days I owned the Kodak, I took nearly 100 photos in a variety of lighting conditions; none of them were keepers. A few looked okay when viewed on the computer at 25% size, but most were noticeably fuzzy. When viewed at 100%, all 97 photos are fuzzy; some of them even look like paintings rather than photos. Most of the photos had awful contrast, too.
As a last test before returning the camera, I took the Kodak and my Olympus outside and two a set of identical photos with each (a park with lots of trees on a sunny day). The photos from the 7 megapixel Olympus were sharp even in the shadowed areas and the sky was a beautiful blue. The photos from the Kodak were noticeably fuzzy and the sky was nearly white. I took the Kodak back.
Great Camera

Works well, although a bit slow to recover after a pictures. Easy to transfer to computer. I recommend it for fun photography, for children, teens, elders.
Awesome little camera!

Great little camera!! Pictures are fantasic! The only kind of picture that I haven’t been thrilled with are nighttime pics (but it could be user-error).
Gift receiver changed mind

The person to whom this camera was given wanted a smaller camera. Now she has to buy her own. I returned it.
I should have kept it, as now I need a smaller camera for travel.

i gave this to my granddaughter for her 12th birthday. without reading any instructions she ran outside to use it. in a few minutes she was back with two videos of her friend doing cartwheels. this is one user friendly inexpensive digcam.
Excellent value

I’ve bought this camera recently and I love it. I have only two gripes, it uses AA batteries vs. charger and you have to use SD cards, as internal storage is pathetic.
The camera shoots excellent images and does what it is supposed to do excellently. Video is also good.
Overall I’m satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it for anyone looking for an inexpensive camera.
An excellent buy

It is so easy to use and takes high quality pictures, worth the money. I like the video audio clip functions , too.
Small Digital Camera
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My wife loves to have up to date pictures of the family, especially our grandsons. She carries this camera in her pocketbook ready to take pictures at every opportunity. She likes its simplicity to operate, its small size and the quality of the pictures taken. She also likes the practicality of taking lots of pictures and being able to delete whatever does not meet her standards. This mode of operation was not practical with her film box cameras.

It is nice portablel camera. Provides clear picture from close. May not be suitable for long range shots.
Very disappointed…

I regret not paying more attention to the other customer reviews prior to buying this camera. Although it takes perfectly good pictures, it has two very major drawbacks (both of which I would have been warned about had I been more thorough). First, it has no viewfinder through which to frame your photo — the only image you have to work with is the one that appears on the LED screen. The problem there is that in anything even remotely resembling full sunlight the LED screen is virtually unseeable. So you are literally shooting blind much of the time. Second, it doesn’t have a rechargable battery…and the battery life isn’t very long. So you need to always carry a spare set of batteries around….just in case. In short, I wish I’d spent a little more and bought a better camera.

this is a great buy,I also purchased the 4 GB memory chip as a package deal as a gift for my wife.
Read all instructions first!

I dropped by Easyshare DX7440 so I had to get something real quick while I get the other repaired. The features were not quite the same, but if you read the instructions first instead of thinking you know what you’re doing, you will find this to be a great camera for the price.

This is a good basic camera. I bought this for my daughter and she likes the easy-to-use design.

Bought this one for my 12yo niece. I try every piece of electronic equipment before I give it. I was surprised. It took me only 2-3 minutes to get familiar with the camera’s operation out of the box (no instruction reading). I found it’s set-up to be very intuitive without the massive confusing menu system of – oh – lets say the CANNON POWERSHOT A560.
Set up the camera mode on a dial switch.
turn flash on/off/auto at a single button.
point-click-picture. And nice ones too.
small problem – the picture stabilization mode only seems to work when the fash is used. When the flash is on, you can violently shake this camera all over the place and it will capture the crispest image when it goes off, even your shoes or ceiling if you’re shaking it that violently.
Using a 4GB sandisk sdhc card, on maximum 10mp, the camera says it will hold just under 2000 pictures on the counter. On minimum 1.2mp setting, the counter stops at 9999. Yes, nine thousand nine hundred ninety nine. The numbers don’t add up to me for MP size and # of photos, but if upscaling is used ( as I’ve read from others) , then these picture quantities do start to make sense.
Between the Cannon power shot and another hard to use upscale Sony camera, both wanted this one for ease of use. What they actually want.
My neice looooooooooooves this camera.
Takes about 45min of video too.
If you want wall sized pictures – this is not for you.
Full page picture – It can handle pretty well.
4×6 memories – I don’t think anyone can go wrong.
great product!

Nice and easy to use, great deal for the price

I bought this camera to replace one that I fell in the water with. I take pictures of everything, my dog, my kids, nature, buildings and anything that catches my eye. I’m not a photographer, but this camera is easy to use and it’s settings enable me to take some awesome pictures. The more familiar I get with it, the better my pictures are turning out. This is a great little camera for point and shoot and is extremely easy to use. The only thing I wish it had (unless it has it and I haven’t found it yet) is color filters for sunset photos.
Kodak easyshare

This easyshare take the best pictures. Ther are clear and the size is perfect to carry with you every where. You can’t take a picture if you don’t have your easyshare.
No memory
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I took 6 photos, and got the “memory full” signal. Also, the viewfinder was not a good indicator of what the picture would be. My granddaughter says it is “clunky” for what it does (not much), and it should have a battery charger. On “ease of use”, I would give it a 1 out of 10.
Not bad for the price
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I purchased about five of these camera’s to be used at work.
My employees tend to beat things up so spending alot was not in the budget especially when they may not last that long. This camera certainly does the trick. It’s easy to use, the picture quality is great and an affordable price make it a great deal.
