Shockingly Poor Product
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
What an awful product. The picture quality is terrible…it is most certainly not 1.3 MP.
The battery life is terrible also. We are constantly having to replace batteries on this camera.
The only positive I can say is that its a strong product and has stood up to my 2 yr old throwing it around.
But I beg people not to buy this. Its shockingly poor.
Fun TOY, eats batteries
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My 3yo daughter loves this toy. For the price, I didn’t expect it to be a quality camera. Fisher Price makes TOYS after all and not high end electronics!! Her pictures are fun to look at, but really, I’m not printing off pictures of her toys or the dog’s tail. Resolution really doesn’t matter that much. The point is… she can take pictures of whatever she wants. She’s usually satisfied looking at the display screen and could care less about paper photos. In a few years, she’ll be ready for the real thing, but for now, this is a fun toy.
This one does live up to its name. It has been dropped, put through the ringer, and it still works. My only gripe is the batteries. When you take a bunch of pictures, scroll through them, delete and retake pictures, (like a typical preschooler would do) it eats batteries. And get this, you can’t use rechargeable batteries with it! I don’t know what genius at FP designed a toy that can’t use rechargeable batteries, but I’d like to give him a piece of my mind. I would have scored this camera lower just for the battery issue, except that my child really does love this toy.
great fun for child

I purchased this FP digital camera for my granddaughter’s third birthday. It was a big hit. She loved taking pictures of family, friends, pets and of course the floor and blank walls as well. She so enjoyed looking at her masterpieces on the computer. This is really a well made camera for such a young child. I would give it the highest recommendation. Amazon was quick to process, but the shipping was a little slow. Her birthday comes as the Christmas season is fast approaching. This year most shipping was slower than in past years.
Great Toy. Lousy Camera.
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
We purchased this camera for our 4 year old. It will hold up to a 1 GB SD card. It is a 1.3 megapixel camera on high resolution, but the photos appear to be taken with a .3 megapixel camera. It is very easy for her to use, but I am going to take it back and spend a little more money and get her a real camera. We travel a lot and I find that the kids occasionally take some really good photos. And they take them from a completely different perspective. If you want a toy for your toddler to learn how to take photos and you don’t care about the quality then this is the camera for you. If you have any desire whatsoever to use the photos, then avoid this camera.
Great for small kids
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This toy is probably the favorite of both my daughter (got at 2, now 3 1/2) and my son (18 months). The double eye veiw makes it easy for both of them to use, and the pictures are easy to take.
The screen quality is pretty poor for review of taken pictures, but the downloaded pictures (super easy btw- works like external hard drive on port, which is included) are actually pretty good.
I have the blue, will be getting pink for xmas to stop the fighting.
The frustration free package is great…and is a good box for storing extras in.
Great Beginning Camera
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I’m surprised to see how many negative reviews there are for this product. If you want a durable camera, you need one that’s low resolution. So for preschoolers or other kids who aren’t going to be careful enough with an adult camera, this product is great. My 4 year old, who tends to have difficulties with mechanical toys, can operate this camera without any trouble at all, and she’s thrilled with the photos. We haven’t downloaded them onto the computer yet, because all she cares about is being able to see them on the camera screen. She’s dropped this product many times already, and it still works great. It does eat up batteries, so I recommend using rechargeables.
Another one bite’s the dust…

Got this for my daughter last November for her birthday. She loved it at first, then like all “toys” it ended up in a drawer untouched for several months. When she got “re-interested” in it and pulled it out to play with it, it wouldn’t turn on. Changed the batteries, still wouldn’t turn on. Called Fisher-Price, was told it was out of warranty so they couldn’t help. My daughter did nothing to this camera…it just stopped working. Kid-tough my butt. $50 down the tubes…she asks me to “fix it” every day and I refuse to buy another one.
Disappointing photo quality but OK for learning how to take pictures
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
We bought this for our 3-year-old and she was clearly disappointed by the low resolution. It also started locking up while scrolling through the photos taken. If it wasn’t for the picture quality, we would have only requested a replacement and not a refund.
This camera really is durable and toddler friendly with easy-to-use buttons.
I recommend this camera for toddlers who don’t have any experience with higher resolution cameras.
Love this!

My daughter has been asking Santa for this for weeks. Santa came through and delivered. So far today she has taken over 300 photos. The resolution may not be great, but I wasn’t looking for a high res camera. My daughter is 3 1/2 and I wanted her to have something that is fun, easy to use, and has lots of room for pictures. This is working great. I hope it doesn’t eat batteries, but if it does I’ll buy two sets of rechargable batteries, one for use, and one to be charging. I highly expect this to remain one of her long time favorites.
Fisher Price Digital Camera

The camera was a gift for my grandaughter. She’s actually younger than the age indicated, but she’s having a great time with it taking pictures of Mommy and Daddy.
Goes through batteries too fast!!
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
My 5 year old daughter got this for Christmas last year and she loves it!! The main problem that I have with it is that the batteries do not last more than 1 day. I even exchanged it for another one thinking something was just wrong with the camera to go through batteries that fast. The second camera we received had the same problem. The resolution was not all that great either.
fantastic!

My 2 1/2 yr old loves this toy. The screen is a bit blurry, but she carries it with her everywhere she goes.
One great Christmas present

I bought the Fisher Price Kid-Tough Digital Camera for my 3 and 1/2 year old granddaughter. She absolutely loved it! She took 150 pictures during the next five hours of our family party. She had no trouble using it and viewing the pictures. It is a terrific little camera for children. We love it!
Not worth the headache…
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I bought this for my five year old for her birthday. Hours after she received it, the camera would not stay on. It would show the fisher-price logo then go off. No it was not dead batteries. I then came onto Amazon to check out the reviews and decided the best thing we could do was take it back to the store and let her pick out something else. I would rather spend my money on a disposable camera and let her take pictures and get them developed.
Outdoors Bright lights only!
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This doesn’t take very good pictures except in bright light. It does have a flash but that doesn’t matter.
I would have gotten something else for the price.
Don’t buy this camera

We bought a kid tough camera last christmas for our daughter. She had a great time with it for about 2 hours. It took some very low quality images (worse than a cell phone), but hey, she was having a blast. Unfortunately, working for a these two hours, the camera could never turned on again. I read on the internet that this was a common problem. We returned the camera and exchanged it for a new one. This second camera lasted for about a day before it too stopped working. One of kid tough’s selling point is that it is supposed to be kid tough. Kids are not supposed to be able to break it. For the price, you can get a real camera that will take much, much better pictures. Even if with small kids, I doubt that most cameras would break as quickly as these “tough” cameras did. Plus, you wont’ have to figure out a story to explain why Santa’s workshop produces such poor quality toys that just stop working for no reason (nor how Santa’s return policy works).
Great Kid’s Camera
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
My 4 year old grand daughter is having a blast taking pictures of everything in sight and then looking at the picture in the camera. I think this will lead to knowing how to take good pictures alot sooner than I learned at age 11 when I was given my little Brownie camera.
tough guy
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is one tough camera. my 3 yr old and even 1 yr old love it.
It get dropped tons of times no problem.
Pictures arent the best quality, but my kids are not that discerning yet.
Perfect for 3 to 5 year olds
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We purchased this for our 3 and 5 year old daughters and it is a huge hit. They took over 400 picutes (all on the internal memory) in the first day. They have shot everything from themselves, the tv screen, to our cats.
The quality of the pictures themselves is not great, but that was not the purpose of the toy. It is extremely easy to use, turn on, snap pictures, etc and our kids can use it with no assistance from us. It also has a built in flash which I actually was not expecting but is a positive. It also seems quite durable and has taken a few falls already.
If your intention is for your 3 year old to take amazing, frameable pictures then go get a DSLR and pray they don’t break it but if you want this to get your child interested in taking pictures and interested in virtually everything around them then get this toy.
