Yes, it’s waterproof but so hard to change the functions and pictures were hazy after initial waterproof test!
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I did the initial waterproof test and the paper was dry inside, so I put the camera in and tried to take some test pictures. They were hazy with the lens cover on. I removed the lens cover and picture was clear. But what is the point of a clear picture if I have to take out the lens cover! Also, it is so hard to change the setting from Play to Record to Video with the plastic on top. I have the SD 770IS.
Please help if I am doing something wrong.
Great waterproof camera case
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I was a little skeptical at first, based on some of the negative reviews, but figured this case was worth a try for the price. I tested it out with some clothing first, and everything came out dry. Then I tested my camera in the sink, and it worked great. I took this case with me to Panama and used it while snorkeling, kayaking, and white water rafting, and the pictures came out great. If you keep your display on, then you can see if your pictures will have the black ring around them and you can reposition the camera accordingly. I am very happy with this case, because without it, I couldn’t capture the experiences of my trip. I advise you to hold the case upside down, as if the camera is going to drop out (when you open it), or else your camera will get wet. However, if you read the directions first, you won’t make this mistake.
Fun accessory

I wanted to play with some underwater photography during a recent trip to Hawaii. I went with a more general purpose pouch since I tend to upgrade my point and shoot every few years. I’m currently using a Canon SD1000, which works well with this case. Operating the camera was fairly easy. With it I got several fun shots of my nephew in the pool, along with some other shots while snorkeling. As a bonus, the case is great for taking shots on the beach without the worry of getting sand in your camera.
A great way to use your current camera underwater

I used this bag with the Canon PowerShot SD790 IS Digital Elph camera while snorkeling in Hawaii. I had no problem with the waterproofing, and ended up with some splendid pictures. I could use the finest controls through the bag, although I did have to pay attention to do it.
Much cheaper than buying a dedicated underwater camera, and far better quality than the disposable underwater cameras that I have used in the past.
I even ended up with some nice short movies shot through the bag.
I am very satisfied.
Hard to get camera in
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I don’t know if the bag is water proof or not. I did not do the paper test. I could not get my Canon A650 IS camera into the bag. It was just too tight and the bag kept sticking to the camera. I do not recommend this bag for medium size cameras.
AWESOME, It worked Great

I bought this last month for a trip to Belize and Guatamala. My first use was on a river cave tubing trip, so it only got wet off and on, but took great pictures. I was hesitant when I went snorkling at the reef off of Belize, but WOW, I was able not only to take pictures, but able to switch over to video on my camera. It’s not easy with the plastic, but it can be done. You can also see the screen on your camera when you are taking pictures. We went snorkling twice and I was in the water for a few hours, great product. My camera was safe and DRY all the time, no leakage.
Happy with the choice

I bought the product for my families first-time snorkeling/kayaking/beach outing last month. It was used with a Canon SD1000. The product was durable and kept the camera dry. Clarity of the photos was good, no visible haze on the pictures from the cover (either above of below the water). There was only one concern. While the lens opening was quite large – it was still important to position the camera carefully so that the black color is not vignetting the images on one side (maybe the 1000 is smaller than some of the other cameras it can accept). After a few shots I got the hang of it. My 14 year old daughter also didn’t seem to have a problem after a few shots.
Using it on the beach eliminated the worry of sand in the mechanism.
We got a lot of shots we couldn’t otherwise have taken without purchasing a $279 waterproof Olympus. Lets face it – you’re taking a computer under the water. Some photos were VERY nice.
I was very happy with the decision and would recommend this to anyone who has occasional needs or just doesn’t want to buy a new camera.
Excellent for the price

It’s a great alternative to the crazy priced underwater case for my Canon SD600. I was able to take video and pictures underwater. After using it first to see how well it worked, I now let my children use it in the pool without worry. I, of course, put the camera in the case myself and test to make sure it’s sealed properly before giving it to them. Great photos for memories you wouldn’t normally be able to capture!
Great Great product!!

I bought this item for our cruise to the Cayman Islands/Jamaica! It was fantastic!! It took wonderful pictures under water & stayed completely dry the entire time!! Even if you don’t want to take under water pictures, I wanted it to protect it from sand damage while on the beach, it worked great!!
You have to get used to keeping the lens in the middle where it belongs but once you get used to it, it’s very easy. Definetly worth the money!!
Not Bad For The Money

I bought this case for a SCUBA trip in Cozumel MX. As far as the water resistance it gets a A+, but if your going to go any deeper than 35 feet I suggest you get a hard case because the soft case does not reduce the pressure on the camera. But if your looking to just keep your camera dry for some good snorkeling or a day at the beach then this is the product for you. The only negative is that it is a “one size fits all”, so if you don’t center your camera in the case you will get a black ring around the edges of your picture. Also there is a zip lock type seal inside that can be a little hard to properly seal at times. Overall, for the price, it works great!
MUST HAVE

This is a GREAT inexpensive way to make your digital camera waterproof. I recently went to Mexico and was able to take great pics while snorkeling- every day. it was also very helpful when going to a waterpark bc i can carry it around and not worry about it getting wet while on rides. You have to get used to lining the lens up correctly but, after you figure that out its so very easy to use! these pics come out WAY better than any disposable underwater camera. I just wish i could have taken it with me while scuba diving.
Underwater case not snug for all Canons listed
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Gave this as a gift to my girlfriend. The shipment came in as expected, but the camera itself is not snug in the camera, even though the company website says her camera would fit in the bag. Since its not snug many pictures/video get the black ring around it. Would be nice if they form fitted each camera. Haven’t tested it under water yet, only took pictures outside of it.
It does what it says… 100%

I purchased this case after deciding that $300 housing for a $200 camera didn’t make much sense… and I was right. This “pouch” survived backpacking through 3 countries before being put to first use in Fiji, and the pictures were spectacular. Admittedly, this is best for snorkeling, and under sunny conditions because the flash on my camera is partially obstructed by the case.
Ultimately, after about 30 uses, the bag is a bit “dirty” and shows wear – but it never once leaked and for under $30 to get those great underwater shots, you can’t beat the price.
Water camera protection
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I was pleased with the price of this item. I was going snorkeling and wanted to take pictures without spending alot of money on an underwater case. This case allowed me to take pictures under water and is also good for protecting my camera when it is raining. For the price I find it to be a very good value.
Great way to turn your normal camera into an underwater camera!!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
At first I was worried about leaks and damage to my camera. After testing the bag for leaks I was more confident. I used it to take pictures while snorkeling in Hawaii. The best part is this allows you to use your digital camera instead of those disposable cameras. You can take tons of photos and delete the bad ones. This easily costs less than buying disposable cameras if you like to take a lot of pictures. Make sure to use the “underwater” option on your camera and keep the camera lens centered in the bag to keep from vignetting. Also get as much air out of the bag as possible and keep the desiccant in it to avoid condensation (not a problem for me because the water temperature was about the same as the air temperature).
Cheap and great way to waterproof your camera

I just came back from the Bahamas a week ago. Before I went, I looked on Amazon for a water proof camera. I had no idea that such case existed. Then I saw everyone’s review on this item and decided to give it a try. It was my first time snorkeling, so I wasn’t going to do anything too intense anyway. It worked so well! We went snorkeing twice, about an hour each time. The case kept my camera dry, not a single drop of water got inside! We did have some photos with the dark edge showing, but it’s not that bad. You just have to take a couple more to make sure you get a good one. For the price, I am very satisfied!
Excellent Option for the Price

My wife and I were looking for a reasonably priced option for taking underwater pictures while we were on vacation in Bora Bora. The fitted underwater camera cases are nice but were expensive. Since we did not see a recurring need for an underwater case we decided to try the Underwater Pouch for $29. It is not perfect, but it turned out some great underwater shots with our Canon Powershot. I would definately recommend this to anyone that did not want to invest in a underwater case.
Underwater Camera Case

I don’t like this product because it is almost impossible to not have a black circular outline around all the pictures.
absolutely fantastic!!

I purchased this camera case for my trip to Hawaii and I could not be happier. My pictures turned out phenomenal. It was a little tricky getting the lens lined up, but once I had the hang of it, it was fabulous. My camera stayed completely dry, it floated when I wasn’t using it, which was something I didn’t expect and my pictures are just beautiful. I have pictures of the most incredible fish and me swimming with turtles…I am absolutely thrilled with this case. Practice before you go snorkeling to get the hang of the case, especially if you have a smaller camera. Happy snorkeling!
Under water captured.

I was a bit cynical. I love my little point and shool cannon digital camera and have always wanted to be able to take quality pics under water. Now, I can. Of course it takes a little manuevering and practice as with any type of shots. This case for the camera worked fantastic. Beware that if the lens of the camera is sitting up against the lens of the case you will not get a shot. Very few of my pics came out with a bit of the black border from the lens. I would recommend this case for snorkeling, kayaking, days at the beach. It’s better to protect your camera and memories than be sorry. Worked awesome from Tahoe to Hawaii and back again!
Excellent waterproof solution
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased the Dicapac 410 waterproof case for my Canon Powershot SD1200IS and it works like a dream.
After a wonderful nine-year ride with my Canon Powershot SD110 – in which the poor camera was inadvertently dropped many times and exposed to a multitude of elements – it finally met its match after being dropped into sand. When the lens retracted due to the auto shut-off feature, sand was pulled into the camera and the lens motor burned itself out after repeated attempts to turn it on. After extensive research, I chose to replace my SD110 with the new SD1200IS. Consequently, I vowed to never expose the new camera to sand. Ever.
After looking into Canon’s proprietary waterproof solution, I was quickly turned off by its ridiculous price tag – it was more expensive than the camera itself! I was pleasantly surprised to find the Dicapac solution, yet understandably apprehensive due to it’s low price. Nevertheless, I decided to buy one and test it. After passing a series of tissue and paper submersion tests, I finally took the leap and placed my new SD1200IS into it and took it to the beach. The case worked like a charm in not only the sand, but also in the salt water. Photo quality was remarkable – you can’t tell the difference between in-case and out-of-case shots at all. The only minor gripe I had was that the default case lens configuration was maybe 1 to 2 millimeters too short for the SD1200IS’s fully extended lens barrel. Fortunately the Dicapac case came with a barrel extender which I’ve installed for a quick fix.
This is a wonderful product that works as advertised. Highly recommended.

This product works excellent. We used it in Niagara Falls under the water falls on the boat ride in addition to the caves. It was awesome to not have to worry about getting my camera wet. Pictures came out great!
