The wider field-of-view makes them ideal for spectator sports, distant wildlife observation or winter use with gloves. Thanks to quality fully-coated optics the action is bright and crisp and the ergonomic rubber housing means you won’t drop them – even with gloves on.PRODUCT FEATURES: Fully coated optics for superior light transmission and brightness; Unique Focus-Free feature stays in focus at most viewing distances; Non-slip rubber armor absorbs shock while providing a firm grip. more info

Perma Focus doesn’t hold up to expectations
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
It already got a pair of 7×21 compact binoculars and wanted these ones for bird watching. Unfortunately these ones don’t give a sharp image, not even at greater distance to the object. Because they are “Perma” focus there is no way of focusing them to closer objects, let’s say 30 feet away. In general, I would not recommend them.

I really like the perma-focus attribute of this product. We use it for nature watching while hiking and vacationing. It’s good to be able to pass the binoculars back and forth to others without losing the subject while adjusting the focus each time. Only drawback is the difficulty in holding binoculars steady when viewing due to magnification. Best binoculars we’ve had.

Living on a lake, with a 10 and 3 year old, these glasses are outstanding. I never have to readjust for anyone and when I grab them they are right there in focus, same goes for the kids and wife. Order yours now they are worth every penny.

Good and simple

This is our second set of two. Over a period of 7 years the previous pair got dropped or jostled and stopped being clearly focused. We take responsibility for the damage as we carry these things everywhere. I got a pair for my sixth grade students to watch the 70 turkey vultures that roost outside of my classroom (something to do with low test scores?).

They use your own eyes to focus as you move. They are great for following moving objects because you don’t need to worry about focusing. On our last trip to Alaska they worked well for everything and in extreme cold too. We like them alot.

Problems? A bit heavy. Not perfect focus and don’t work well for viewing night objects. Have lots of little areas where sand or dust can get stuck. They are useless for close objects and not good for small, close birds. The plastic neck strap breaks easy and is uncomfortable.

Hard to beat bushnell!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I compared this with a similar powered Nikon and was sold right away. The Bushnell is usually cheaper but delivers everything the Nikon does if not more. The weight is just right and easily adjustable. This price is very good! The Bushnell website sells it for about $75 and I’ve seen it for as much as $100 in stores. I paid much more than this because I was in a tourist trap at the time. Buy it before you need it!

HD Binoculars

I’ve had several higher-end binoculars over the years, but I needed a pair one time when I was short on money… and it turned out to be my favorite pair by far. Ok… so they don’t focus at all for something closer than 50 feet… That’s an acceptable loss for anything farther than 50 feet being crystal clear. You focus these by naturally refocusing your eyes. I use these for sports, if need be, but mostly for nature viewing, and astronomy (along with a telescope) In fact… these are almost as good as a $500 pair of astronomy binoculars I considered. So if you want something that performs very well out of the box with no instructions, this is your ticket.

Fantastic! Incredibly clear.

No matter what you look at, it’s in focus and is crystal clear. All my friends are absolutely amazed with the set.

great binoculars especially for the price
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Not only are these convenient, but for the price, they offer an extremely wide angle, and good image quality. Lacking are eye diopter adjustments–this is a serious handicap. But for the price, a really good deal.

WHY?
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
My friend showed me a pair of Japanese binoculars he had purchased years ago. They were called “Jason” and I had never seen anything like them. No matter what you looked at, everything was always in focus! In fact, there was NO focus dial at all! I had to have a pair & he said he would see if he could find out were I could get them. He did some research & found that Bushnell was now making them under the name Perma Focus. He found a pair online for $79.00. I knew Amazon sold Bushnell products so I checked & sure enough, there they were! Only instead of $79.00 they were $39.00.

What a bargain!

I just can’t help but wonder why ALL Binoculars aren’t made this way…

Even if you rarely have any need or use for a pair of Binoculars (like me) it’s worth fourty bucks to have these! You WON’T be dissapointed!

Good choice for the price.

After doing quite a bit of research, I chose these binoculars primarily for use at athletic events. I’ve been very pleased with the Perma Focus feature, the clarity of the image, and the durability. The downside is the weight and size. That might make it difficult for continued use, i.e., wildlife. But unless you want to pay another $100 or so, this is a very good choice.

Everything we expected
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We work in Yellowstone National Park for the summer season. We had met many park visitors that were using perma focus optic devices and decided to get one for ourselves. We determined that tne Bushnell was the best value available for our needs. Then, we shopped Amazona and saved 40%. Also, delivery was simple, the merchandise was shipped directly to our campground.

The perma focus allow was to scan for wildlife far and near our car as we drive through the park or as we view nature from an overlook. Simple to use and we see more wildlife now than ever before. When it comes to optics we are not interested in technical specifications. We want easy to use and great performance. The Bushnell Perm Focus are a perfect fir.

Perma focus

I use these in hunting situations where game has to be identified quickly. Its great not to have to fiddle with focusing. You can scan large areas of land very quickly with this great piece. The image seems to be a little less precise than my insta-focus Bushnells, but its good enough to handle 99% of what most people would require.

Only for long range, no Lasik
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I had a pair like this when I wore contacts and they were great.

Now my eyes are 20/20 20/15, it’s a no go now darn it.

They also will not focus closer than 20 + or – yards.

They are very clear and good binos just not for me.

Longboard

Great and so easy to use. I used these at work and loved them, so I bought a pair for us. We live on a lake and if you want to see wildlife quickly – these are great. They are just perfect for an all around binocular and you just can’t go wrong with Bushnell. Everyone that uses our loves them.

Very pleased with this product for the price. In use during deer hunting where close range viewing is not necessary, I have found them very useful. Have not been able to keep the roll down eye piece to stay down but am hoping that will fix itself in time. Overall, great for the price!

All Aorund Good Glasses
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Although these binoculars are not at thier best in close, the long range view more than adequately makes up for any shortcomings. For objects at a distance, I can think of no other binocular that has as crisp an image, or as wide a field of view. Also, they are a pleasure to pick up and have an instant view without the delay in having to focus them. The rugged, rubber encased, no slip frame are one of the most “ergonomically correct” pair of glasses that I have ever used.

The only downside I see to these is the clarity of objects at a significantly closer range. They do tend to be slightly off focus. However, if I were to be looking at objects at a much closer distance, I would not need to use these. Also, the carrying case is more than functional but, leaves a bit to be desired.

I use these binoculars for both land and especially water searches, and can think of no other which is as well made and economically priced. The auto focus feature is a major asset when having to pick up the glasses and sight in on a moment’s notice.

If you are looking for a value priced, yet extremely well constructed and built pair of binoculars, these may very well be the pair for you.
