Very good product, but not for me
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I purchased these glasses as a possible replacement for a larger pair of Nikon glasses because i hoped they would provide the same view in a smaller, more compact package. Unfortunately, I enjoyed the glasses but not enough improvement to supplant the older larger model. In short, the smaller package didn’t provide enough improvement to make the change.

Great Binoculars
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
These are great binoculars. After owning several other zoom types, I find these to be very good for sports and other outdoor activities. There is a loss of light in the lens when you extend the power, but when you want a small compact pair to use as a zoom-you give up something.

does not hold focus while zooming
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
These binoculars seemed like a great idea that was well designed, but upon opening the box today, I noticed there was a visible flaw in the objective lens, prompting its quick return to seller. It was brand new and should not, at ~$140, come with defects. The seller ([…[) was very quick at getting the unit returned at no cost to me. Very reasonable, no hassle.

While on the phone setting up the return, I decided to dump this design. Reason: the Eagleview was unable to hold its focus while zooming, a fatal flaw in my book. Instead I reordered the Nikon Travelite V, 8-24/25, which was barely different in price. I have an old pair of the Travelite IIIs which still works great, and I am hoping the zoom engineering on the TL-V is better than on their Eagleviews.

Might have given it three stars if it wasn’t for the flaw in the lens, which colored my expectation of the overall quality of all others in this line.

Poor customer service

I received these binoculars on Monday. On Thursday the plastic eye cup protector broke in half and now the separate pieces won’t stay on the eye cups. I called Nikon and they will sell me a new one but not replace the defective piece. I will not buy any Nikon product again!

Nikon Binoculars

The binoculars were purchased as a gift for my son. He has been pleased with the light weight and ease of use. The Nikon Eagleview 8-24×25 zoom binoculars are helpful at sporting events, on walking trails & for bird watching. It was a good gift.

Great product

For the price, these binoculars provide unparallel carity and easy focus. I like these binoculars so much that I showed them to a couple of co-workers right away. One of them was so impressed that he ordered one for his cousin’s birthday. Great product, highly recommended.

These are very good the only cons are they’r not water proof, and the lens covers arnt any good. The pro’s, the glass is clear the zoom is wow! very good, super easy focus, compact size, they do come with a nice case also. I was pleased with my purchase and so will you.

The Product works as advertised, very well.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Using the Binoculars for general viewing of wildlife they work great. They do need good lighting to perform well. I use the 8X most of the time as the zoom can be shakey unless you hold them up against something to make it steady. Overall very good value for the price and lightweight.

good binocular
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
If anyone is thinking of purchasing a good binocular for eveyday use this

one will fill the need. the lense is very clear compared to another set I own. It is light and compact and if you are going to have one in the car or carrying with you on vacation to use for the unexpected event this one will be perfect. One other point to mention is the zoom, although 8-10 is the range most people will use the extra range is a bonus for the long distant view. ps it’s better to have a set of binoculars that are light and compact, that is not a burden to carry than, a very expensive heavy set that will stay home most of the time i’ve learned that lesson.

Great for general use and birding
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This was a great purchase for my purposes – birding and wildlifing. I had to get used to turning the center-focus with ring finger, as the zoom lever is in the index-finger position. To use full zoom, you really need total stability, but half zoom is very useful even from a moving kayak. Right-eye focus ring is right up against the eyecups and hard to move unless you twist open the eyecups, in which case the focus ring is fine. Focus crispness is not quite what I hoped for at full zoom, but still good for seeing field marks. One big advantage is the light weight. This set is as light as the smaller Nikon I lost. Very nice!

Amazing binoculars for the price
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’ve wanted to purchase a pair of binoculars for a couple of years, but kept putting it off because I figured I’d have to dump at least $300 on a quality pair. I wanted something compact, good quality, and affordable. Not exactly an easy order. But after reading the reviews for these bins, I figured I’d give them a try. All I can say is wow. These are exactly what I was looking for. They provide a very crisp image at the lower magnification levels. And even at 24x, although usually impractical, they are a lot of fun. I find it easy to focus and change the zoom level with one hand which is a plus. For general purpose viewing, these are fantastic binoculars. The bins shipped with a black velcro-flap carrying case with a belt loop on the back, and a small carrying strap that you can attach to your bins.

Bought these for my husband for our anniversary, he is hard to please, very picky, but he was impressed with this purchase. He enjoyed using them at the football game. I like the compact size and the light weight.

I highly recommend these binoculars!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
These binoculars are excellent! They are small, light weight, have an amazing zoom control, and they are very affordable. I use my binoculars to view birds and the ever changing nature scenes outside my home. I highly recommend these binoculars. They were by far the best of the many I tried in the store.

Nikon Eagleview Binoculars
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Just took a two week vacation, took my binoculars along.

Binoculars are very compact (easy to pack)

Very clear view and the zoom feature is stellar, saw a

mule deer using 8 power,16 gave me a closer view and 24

gave me a perfect rack view.

All in all, the binoculars are even better for my

purposes than I expected )very satisfied!!!

Better than expected!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I ordered these binoculars for my husband’s birthday. They arrived promptly and in excellent condition; well packed. We both were surprised by how powerful they are and easy to use, WOW! Very, very pleased. They are very light weight (nice for these old arthritic arms and hands). The only possible drawback is that they are not waterproof and need to be kept dry at all times, so DH will not be able to take them along on fishing trips unless he double zipper lock bags them.

Eagle View Zoom
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I purchased this for my husband for his birthday. I saw all the great reviews and thought this was the one for him! There are two things that bother us. #1 – the zoom button got stuck in the 24 position. Neither one of us could get this moved to another spot. Finally my husband used a quarter to move the button. It was the second time he used it! We are not sure how to fix this if this happens again. Secondly, the strap is missing one piece of small plastic and it means we can not use it. This is very disappointing also. Everything should come ready to use and be able to use it well. Not sure I would do this again.

Good all-around binocs.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Having had binoculars in the past be either way too expensive or too cheap, I wanted a new pair that would replace a pair that was loaned out, then lost. The opportunity presented itself in the form of a trip to Canada this past September, which required something that would be able to capture the Canadian Rocky vistas, but also not be so heavy that I would feel like needing a cart to stow them in. The Nikon Eagleview Binoculars seem to fill the bill (not too expensive, but also not too heavy). They have a great zoom feature that is easily changed as well as being able to easily focus with one hand. My only complaint is that while zooming in on a subject, the light level is reduced, which occurs naturally due to the nature of optics. You can’t have everything, but these were just right, allowing my wife and I to use them time and time again while observing nature. In summary, a good pair for all-around use!

These are quality binoculars
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have had a number of pairs of binoculars and these are by far the best. I didn’t know if the zoom capacity would be sufficient when I ordered the binoculars; but it is more than enough. I have had problems in the past with other binoculars when I try to get just one image rather than two; but these binoculars adjust sufficiently close so that this isn’t an issue.

I Bought Two
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I suppose that I could try to find the rights words to describe these binoculars. Or I could just tell a short story. Our oldest daughter and her husband came for a visit recently. She really loved my binoculars so, hey, she’s my daughter and I’m Daddy; I gave them to her. These are not my only binoculars. But I liked them so much I bought a second pair.

Technology meets user….
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
When I was looking for Binoculars the fist concession I had to make was that I was trying to fill a particurlar need and not looking for an all time intergalactic technical marvel… I’m not sure such a thing actually exists but I can tell you for sure its pretty pricy. But if you ever go driving or camping and say “Wow I wish I had some Binoculars” this is the one I recommend. It is “Quality” by experience and the price will help keep you from feeling the dreaded “expensive paper weight” syndrome when you are not using them…

Good binoculars for viewing theater events
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Light weight, clear image, easy to focus. Works well in a theater or outdoors when hiking. Gets the most details and best image at 8x, works well up to 12x, then the image loses details and gets more difficult to keep stable. Still, it’s nice to have the capability to shift to the higher range if and when wanted.

Eagleview 8-24×25 Prism Binoculars by Nikon
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Nice Compact size, focus nob is toward front which results in using middle or ring finger for focusing and index finger for zooming. Takes some getting used to. Eyeglass wearers may find it difficult to use, i.e., finding a good spot where both left & right images come completely together. Image becomes darker as zoom in. Not suitable for use in low light conditions (dawn or dusk) at middle to full zoom. I predominantly use them to spot arrows when shooting target archery. It’s light weight, size and limited view field are ideally suited for this purpose.
