not as advertised

I did not get what was advertised. Yes it was cheap, but not what I ordered. When I emailed the company to complain, they sent me to a link on amazon that corrected “their” item as what they sent me. Who looks at the different company ads when buying the advertised items on amazon??? As my daughter would say, not freaking cool. This is not the right cable. It is not as advertised. It is a generic cable, and it does not fit into the port of my Canon ZR80. Therefore: a waste.

What you are buying is NOT as advertised – not even close. The picture shows a genuine Canon product, and the description would have you believe that’s exactly what it is. It is not. It doesn’t even look like the photo. It is all black, lacks the “bubble” in the cord that the Canon product has, and comes with no brand name. When mine arrived, I had to think there was a shipping error, but after contacting Cmple – and waiting a full THREE DAYS just to get a reply – I am now told that they intended all along to ship a cheap no-name cable, despite having described it as the genuine article. No resultion to my complaint was offered. I am very surprised Amazon is doing business with this supplier.

THIS IS NOT THE CANON CABLE. This is a RIPOFF. It is just the normal USB cable that you find with USB accessory/peripheral. I am so mad that I ordered and waited 10 days for this ….wasted all this time. The Canon cable is supposed to have a USB at one end and a really miniature mini USB at the other end. Does not work with ANY SDXXX series cameras.
Even the invoice specified USB111-A cable without any mention of the the Canon USB IFC-400PCU cable that I had ordered.

Well there isn’t much to say about it. The cable does what it’s supposed to do at a moderate price. 5 stars.
It doesn’t have the round cylinder ball like in the picture.

Well, what can I say? I disliked this purchase so much, I didn’t even try to get a refund. I just wouldn’t buy any product from this seller again. That’s how you can save money in the future.
The cable I ordered is not the same as the one in the picture and it doesn’t work with the camcorder I have. It’s missing the ball in the middle.

I did not have any trouble using this cable to hook up my Canon 20D to an iMac. It was straightforward and easy. I did have trouble with the camera software but that didn’t have anything to do with the cable.

I’m not a fussy person as long as the job gets done. I got a black usb (not as pictured) cord for my powershot, this cord works fine. I got it for a low price. Understandably, it’s not a Canon and is a generic. For performance, it works and gets the job done. I have to penalize it on stars for the false advertisement.. as it’s pretty obvious that it wasn’t Canon. Vendor should consider advertising the product appropriately.

First there is nothing on the bag or cable proving that this actually a cannon product.
Looks nothing like the real deal.
Doesn’t have the surge bulb and is black.
Its simply a generic camera cable,
On the bright side however it does in fact works with my Power Shot SD1100 IS.
Also its $14.27 cheaper than buying a cable direct from canon.
Imo,the picture and item description should be changed though.

The USB cable works great for uploading pictures from my Canon Power Shot SD1100 IS to my computer. I’ve had no problems with it at all!! The cord was a great price and came on time.

Although these people advertise their product as a “Canon” cable, show an actual “Canon” cable photo, complete with the “Canon” part number; what they send to you is some generic junk cable. I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing this cable. I complained to Amazon about this vendor running a deceptive ad, but to date nothing has been done and their “Canon” ad is still running. So if you are looking for an actual “Canon” cable you had better shop with a different vendor, because you will not be getting one here.

The first and only time I have ordered something from your company, you sent me the wrong item. Instead of sending me a ‘Canon USB Cable IFC 400PCU’ for my Canon Camera, you sent me a generic usb without the cylindrical filter/buffer that should be attached to the cord and which is shown in the picture for the item I purchased. I would say that I was displeased with my purchase and most likely will not buy anything from you again. Thank you very much and have a Wonderful Holiday season.

The cable sent is not the white Canon cable shown, and is not the Canon part number advertised. It is not even a Canon product. No bulging part near the small connector, no embossed Canon logo, not white. Not Canon’s proprietary cable.
The ad should show a photo of the product they are really selling and should not claim to BE the Canon part number.
I have asked to return for credit, I hope they honor the request.

Despite what the advertisement says, this cable does NOT fit the Canon camcorder. It is a plain USB/miniUSB cable, but camcorders require a “firewire” end, which this is NOT.

The IFC-400PCU is a propriety cable with Canon’s own socket – this is a generic mini-b plug cable! My Vixia HF10 takes the 400PCU and THIS CABLE IS NOT THE RIGHT ONE.

Product was not as pictured and it is not a Canon cable. It is a generic USB digital camera cable and is black not white, does not bear the Canon logo. But it works just fine and the price was definitely right.

This cord came with my camera and grew legs and walked away. So, I had to buy a new one. I got a better deal on Amazon then on Canon.com and purchased it here. It came fast and works just like my other one.
