Frame Manager Software Needed But Not Included
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
frame manager software cannot be down-loaded from Samsung’s website using either Vista or XP. in the instructions, it is mentioned that the software is enclosed, but it is not. after finding many other people having similar complaints, I am sorry I wasted my time on this frame. the great picture quality does not make up for the lack of function.

Great Look
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I was looking for good looking frame to match with my table (Black), then I had got this one. It really got nice look and good features. Pros are 1GB internal Memory, Good Looks, Almost all type of Media support, can be used as another monitor.

Cons are No Remote control, Control buttons are quite hard and its quite delicate.

Good Quality Digital Frame at a reasonable price

Sleek styling, reasonable price. Pictures comes out great.

What I wish it had was wi-fi, plays mpeg, avi and have a remote.

My first digital frame
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I decided to buy a digital frame as a gift and I ended up buying this one. Overall I am happy with it, but there are a few aspects that irritaed me. First, when I received it there were scratches on the glass of the frame. Second, the fingerprints are a killer to get off. Third, if you are not computer savvy (like me) the initial downloading of pictures from your MAC to the frame, is a headache. There were no complete instructions with the box so I had to look it up on Samsung’s website to figure it out.

However, now that I figured it out and I have gotten over the scratches (somewhat),I am very happy. I can ship this to my dad where he can simply plug it in to the wall, hit the power button and voila! The slide show starts up automatically, exactly how I had it set.

The picture quality is good, and it has a sleek design. It seems to be kind of fragile and I am not sure how the control buttons are going to hold up over the years.

nice digital frame
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is an attractive, sleek digital frame. The picture quality is good, and you can put a decent number of photos on the internal memory. The user interface is ok, I liked how they include everything you need in the package so that you don’t have to out and buy different media cards or mini-usb hookups.

Love it at the office
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this Samsung digital frame to use on my desk at the office. I am very pleased. I connected the USB cable and downloaded a few hundred pics to the internal memory. The frame contains an “auto on” feature to automatically start or stop each day, but I prefer to turn it on manually. There is no remote but it’s so easy to reach over and push the power button on the rear panel while my PC is booting up. I am displaying my pics in full view, so the frame will automatically cut off the top & bottom to utilize the full width. Some pics in “portrait” configuration get cut off, but landscape pics are all great. (I’m not sure why the frame makers are not keeping standard camera aspect ratios, but this seems common.) If you have a lot of pics in portrait config, them you may be disappointed displaying them on this frame. I’ve received a lot of positive comments from co-workers. The resolution has surpassed my expectations.

A Stellar Digital Frame
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I tried to do a lot of research before buying my first digital picture frame and it all pointed to this Samsung model. Friends told me I could get a similar frame for half the price but the facts didin’t bear it out.

The lines of this frame are crisp and stylish, great for any decor. I have a traditional house heavy on the antiques and it fits in as well as it would in a modernist minimalist setting.

The picture quality and the apect ratio are awesome, much better than on most of the frames I looked at. It’s easy to set up and use; though I do have to tell you it comes with only a quick guide; if you want the in depth instructions you have to download the guide from Samsung.

It’s great in that it has a built in memory as well as accepting a card and a memory stick. It has lots of display options and a shuffle capability that make every time you turn it on a different experience. Very pleased, in fact am going to buy another and most of my friends who have seen it are now going to ‘upgrade’ from their other frames!

Bad Choice
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Bought this frame for spouse for Xmas. First thing you have to do is download firmware and frame never acted right and could not get the download to work. The manual is printed in about 50 languages so you get about 1 1/2 pages in English, the rest is all other languages. Not very much information to get started. I was online waiting for level 2 tech support with Samsung to correct problem and got disconnected after waiting on hold for 20 minutes. That sealed the deal to return product. Instead, bought Pandigital 10.1″ frame and loved it. Very good instruction manual came with it and simple to use. Download your pictures to a chip or mini usb port and you are off and running. Very pleased with new Pandigital frame. Recommend highly. Samsung ought to quit selling this frame. I have 2 Samsung TV’s that I love but they didn’t get it right with this digital frame. I picked up the Pandigital for $66 at Radio Shack which was $20 cheaper than the 8″ Samsung frame that was a nightmare. Please learn from my mistake and Do Not Buy this product.

Works well as a digital Photo frame
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Product works well as a digital photo frame. It has a good clear picture, and ports for USB flash drives and SD cards. Bought it as a gift for my wife and she loves it.

A warning to any who are thinking about buying this to use as a secondary monitor. Currently Samsung does not have frame manager software available for 64bit operating systems. So, if you have XP, Vista, ar Win 7 64bit this will not work as a mini monitor. I have not tried the product on a 32bit system so I cannot say whether the product works on these. To clarify a few other reviews, the software can be found and downloaded from Samsung’s site.

So as a picture frame it works perfectly so far, but I am disappointed that the ability to use it as a mini-monitor is not supported on my computer. Especially since there is no information I have seen outside of C-net’s forums that mentions that it will not work on a 64bit system.

Nice little screen
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
My interest in this picture frame was in it’s ability to function as a second computer monitor. I have a small computer that I carry with me on my motorcycle. I wanted the second monitor to facilitate my trading software when I’m on the road. This screen functions well, but I don’t like the connecting cord, that has two different length pigtails. That’s really messy. The draws backs are the upgrade for the firm ware, I can’t get it to download with out corruption. You also have to down load the software from the samsung web site to install the controlling software to use this as a second computer monitor. This is almost a great idea. I was looking for a combination TV/DVD/Picture frame/monitor in the 10 inch range. I know that is asking quite a bit, but as long as I’m in the world of fantasy why not express my true desires for a multi-use picture frame.

There is nothing wrong with this product. It functions as advertised. I wish I’d purchased the SPF-105P, this might have fit my needs a little better.

Good product to have in your room

I recently puchased this product and I am satisfied with what was written on site for product specification.

It does not come with remote but still you will find it very easy to use it.

Picture quality is good.
